Dealing With Life’s Tought Times

dwlttBy Jerome Baker

One of the many promises that God made is found in John 16:33, it says, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Whether young or an adult there is some trouble that has your name on it.  Family problems, health issues, money shortage, relationship drama, or personal battles, it happens to the best of us.  The wonderful thing about the trials of life is that can make us better if we handle them properly (James 1:1-2).  Here are a few tips to help you deal with life’s tough times.

Keep the faith.
God will not allow His children to endure more than they can handle.  Trials are common, but what you face is designed just for you!  Hang in there and know that God is going to bring your through it all.
Hebrews 10:35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.

Learn from it.
Sometimes what you go through is of no fault of your own.  Sometimes trouble happens to you to so you can help someone else.  Jesus went through pain, agony, and disgrace for us (1 John 2:2), but he learned something from.  Are you learned from you you go through?  Do you keep struggling with the same issues like you are going around and around in circles?  Maybe you should take a closer look and see what God is trying to teach you.
Hebrews 5:8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.

Be patient.
Most young people and immature adults have a tendency to want to come out trouble immediately (believe me, I’ve been there).  Like spaghetti noodles that don’t stay in the hot boiling water long enough, they come out unprepared for a meal.  Likewise, when we come out of our trials on our own or try to fix it ourselves we are unprepared for what God has for us.  Hang in there, let God make you into the vessel of honor that he can get glory from.
